Am 17. Juni 2019 erhielten die beiden NMS am Enkplatz zwei Enzis aus dem MuseumsQuartier zur freien Verfügung und zum Bemalen. Die Kids waren begeistert und fandes es ur-cool. Am 18. Juni wurde das erste Enzi bereits bemalt und so voll in Besitz genommen.

Frage: Was macht einen Bezirk zukunftsfit?

Antwort: Kids die gerne in die Schule gehen.

„Coole und chillige Enzis sollen dieses positive Lebensgefühl vermitteln und zum „gerne-in-der-Schule-sein-und-lernen“ beitragen. Denn Kids die gerne lernen, geben das der Gesellschaft ein Leben lang zurück. Deshalb investiert Wien auch so viel in tolle Schulen. Hier am Enkplatz ebenso wie in zahlreichen anderen Schulstandorten“, meint Bojan Schnabl, mitgerissen von der Begeisterung der Kids, die die Enzis sofort in Beschlag genommen hatten. Und weiter,

„Ein besonderer Dank für die zwei Enzis in Simmering geht an das MuseumsQuartier, das mit seinem tollen Programm nun auch die Simmeringer Kids inspiriert. Danke!“

Der Hit: das neue Bildungsgrätzel Enkplatz, englisch: EducationQuarter Enkplatz

Die Vorgeschichte:

„Smarter Together – gemeinsam g’scheiter“ investiert viel Liebe und Energie in die Kids im Bezirk, nicht zuletzt mit Michmachspielen, der Schulerweiterung mit vier Null-Energie-Turnsälen, zwei Solarbänken u.v.m.  Allein die Schulerweiterung macht so an die 27 Millionen Euro aus.

Bereits 2018 waren Kids aus der Sportschule NSM Enkplatz in der Keith Haring-Ausstellung in der Albertina, einem internationalen Mekka und Hotspot der Kunst. Resultat war, dass die Kids den Bauzaun im Innenhof bunt im Keith-Haring-Stil bemalt haben: Einfach toll und inspirierend so eine Schule mit so engagierten Kids und LehrerInnen! So entstand die Idee mit den Enzis.

Die smarte Idee: Wenn die Kids aus Simmering schon in die Hofburg pilgern, warum sollte die hohe Kunst nicht auch in die Vorstadt zu den Kids kommen? Zwei Enzis, je eines für die beiden Schulen, mussten her. „Smarter Together – Gemeinsam g’scheiter“ machte es möglich.

Und der Hit dabei: Gerade wird die vertiefte Zusammenarbeit zwischen den örtlichen Bildungseinrichtungen gestartet. Und nicht nur, dass Smarter Together wieder einmal dabei ist, das „Bildungsgrätzel Enkplatz“ heißt im Englischen – ganz nach dem MuseumsQuartier – „EducationQuarter Enkplatz„.

Zukunftsweisender kann man kaum sein! Alles für smarte Kids!

Die Enzis kommen

On June 17, 2019, the two secondary schools „NMS Enkplatz, a Smarter Together Lighthouse project in itself, received two Enzis, two super stylish benches from the MuseumsQuartier (MQ) – MuseumsQuarter. The MQ is an international hotspot of arts and lifestyle in Vienna. Kids from Simmering loved it and thought it was super cool.

On the 18th of June, the first one was already painted and so fully taken possession.

Question: What makes a district fit for the future?

Answer: Kids who like to go to school.

„The two super cool and chilling Enzi-benches are a contribution to this positive attitude towards life as well as to the super positive feeling of „loving-to be-at-school-and-learn-for-life“. Because kids who like to learn at school give much more back to society for a lifetime. That’s why Vienna invests so much in great schools. Here at the Enkplatz as well as in numerous other school locations“, says Bojan Schnabl enthousiastic about the first super positive feedback and continues:

„A special thanks for the two Enzis in Simmering goes to the MuseumsQuartier (MQ), which now also inspires the Simmeringer kids with its great program. Thank you!“

The story behind:

„Smarter Together Vienna“ invests much love and energy in the kids in the district, not least with numerous participatory events, the school extension with four zero-energy gyms, two solar benches and much more. Alone the school expansion makes up to 27 million euros.

Already in 2018 kids from the sports school, NSM Enkplatz, visited the Keith Haring exhibition in the Albertina, an international mecca and hotspot of the arts.

The result was that the kids painted the construction fence in the courtyard colorfully in Keith-Haring style: A  great school with such dedicated kids and teachers! And the story has even landed in the district newspaper! More about this: Art in the sports school NMS Enkplatz. 

That’s how the idea with the Enzis was born.

The smart idea:

If the kids from Simmering already find their way to the imperial palace „Hofburg“, why should the high culture not come in the suburbs to the kids? Two Enzi-benches, one for each of the two schools, had to come here. Smarter Together Vienna made it happen.

And the clue about this:

The enhanced cooperation between the local educational institutions is just starting. And evidently, Smarter Together is part of it. The so-called „Bildungsgrätzel Enkplatz“ is in English – just like the MuseumsQuartier – „EducationQuarter Enkplatz„.

One can hardly be more future-oriented. Everything for smart kids!
