Grätzelwalk mit Stuttgarter StudentInnen

Am 13. Mai 2019 besuchte eine internationale Gruppe von Studierenden eines Smart City Lehrgangs aus Stuttgart Smarter Together in Simmering. Ziel war es in die technischen Innovationen, vor allem aber in die Governance-Prozesse eine europaweit angesehenen Smart City Projektes  kennen zu lernen. Auch die intensive Einbeziehung der Bevölkerung und verschiedenster Zielgruppen  – von den MieterInnen im Gemeindebau bis hin zu den Vertretern von Industrie sowie den MitarbeiterInnen der Stadt Wien – stieß auf besonderes Interesse.

Für Wien ganz interessant: Der Austausch mit Studierenden aus Indien und anderen fernen Ländern, weil sie selbst ja mehrere Smart City-Ansätze erleben und damit vom Wiener holistischen – gesamtheitlichen Ansatz besonders profitieren und damit ein besonderes Feedback geben können.

Exchange beyond Europe’s borders

On May 13, 2019, an international group of students from a Smart City course in Stuttgart visited Smarter Together in Simmering. The aim was to get to know the technical innovations, but above all the governance processes, of a Europe-wide prestigious Smart City project. The intensive involvement of the population and various target groups – from the tenants in the municipal  building to the representatives of industry and the employees of the city of Vienna – met with particular interest.

Especially  interesting for Vienna: the exchange with students from India and other far-away countries, because they are experiencing several Smart City approaches themselves, and thus can on one hand profit particularly from the holistic approach and on the other are able to give special feedback.
