Smarter Together Wien gewinnt den Construction21 „Sustainable District Grand Prize der International Platform“.

Smarter Together Wien hat beim „Green Solutions Award“ der „Construction 21“ in der Kategorie „nachhaltiges Stadtviertel“ kandidiert und den ersten Preis in der ersten (nationalen) Wettbewerbsphase gewonnen (englisch: der „Sustainable District Grand Prize of the international platform“).

Kurz zur Erklärung: In der ersten Phase stehen Projekte aus jeweils einem Land im Wettbewerb um Preise in den Kategorien „Gebäude“, „Bezirke“ und Infrastruktur. Projekte aus Ländern, in aus denen es wenige Bewerbungen gab bzw. in denen es keine eigene Landesplattform gibt, wurden in einen „internationalen Plattform“ zusammegefasst. So auch Smarter Together. Am 4. November 2019 werden die Besten der Besten gekürt. Großes Finale!

Was ist die Plattform Construction.21?

Die Plattform construction21.org wurde bereits 2012 als Ergebnis eines EU-Projektes geschaffen, um Best Practices nachhaltiger Gebäude und Städte zu promoten. Der 2015 eingerichtete und nunmehr bereits siebente Wettbewerb „Green Solution Award“  bezieht sich unmittelbar auf die Pariser UN-Klimakonferenz, und soll einen positiven Beitrag zur Erreichung der Klimaziele leisten. Dabei werden eine Vielzahl an Innovationsideen prämiert, die inspirieren sollen. Die Kategorien sind Gebäude, Gebiete/Bezirke und Infrastrukturen.

Briefly to the explanation: In the first phase of the awarding process, projects from specific countries compete for awards in the categories „buildings“, „districts“ and infrastructure. Projects from countries in which there were few applications, or where there is no specific „national platform“ were combined in an „international platform“. So also Smarter Together Vienna. On 4 November 2019, the best of the best will be awarded. Grande finale!

What is the platform Construction21.org?

The construction21.org platform was created in 2012 as a result of an EU project to promote best practices in sustainable buildings and cities. The „Green Solution Award“ competition, established in 2015 and now already the seventh edition, is directly related to the Paris UN Climate Change Conference and is intended to make a positive contribution to achieving the climate goals. In the process, a large number of innovation ideas are awarded that should inspire. The categories are buildings, areas / districts and infrastructures.
