Eine super spannende Dokumentation auf W24

NMS Enkplatz: Eine Schule wächst

Am Enkplatz in Simmering hat die Wiener Infrastruktur Projekt GmbH (WIP), eine Tochtergesellschaft des Wien Holding-Unternehmens WSE Wiener Standortentwicklung, 17 neue Klassen und vier unterirdische Null-Energie-Turnsäle gebaut. Die Entstehungsgeschichte wurde von W24 festgehalten.

Smarter Together kommt in der Dokumentation immer wieder vor und die ganze Story wurde im österreichweiten Newsletter der GBV gebracht. Die GBV, die Vereinigung der gemeinnützigen Bauträger Österreichs, ist die Dachorganisation von 186 Bauträgern mit knapp 900.000 Wohnungen in ihrer Verwaltung. Sie sind die Säule des sozialen, leistbaren Wohnbaus in Österreich.

Der Titel der Reportage übernimmt übrigens genau den Titel eines Blogbeitrag auf der Smarter Together-Homepage (NMS Enkplatz: Lust auf Schule) und im Film sind u.a. zahlreiche Sequenzen unseres Zeitraffer-Films zu sehen, den Andreas Tschismasia (MA 25, Technische Stadtenreuerung) über die Jahre aufgenommen hat.

Ausstrahlung der Reportage

Ein Klimaschutz- und Smart City-Vorzeigeprojekt hat die WIP  am Enkplatz in Wien-Simmering realisiert. In die Erweiterung der beiden Neuen Mittelschulen sind zahlreiche technische Finessen eingeflossen. Klimaschutz und Nachhaltigkeit stehen im Vordergrund. Den rund 1.000 SchülerInnen der beiden neuen Mittelschulen stehen jetzt zusätzlich vier Turnsäle, 17 Klassenräume, offene Pausen- und Arbeitsbereiche, ein neuer textiler Werkraum, eine neue Schulbibliothek sowie eine neue Lehrküche zur Verfügung. Der Schulerweiterungsbau wurde in Form eines Querriegels an das unter Denkmalschutz stehende Gebäude angeschlossen. Die neuen Stiegenhäuser mit Aufzug ermöglichen eine barrierefreie Erschließung nicht nur für den Neubau, sondern auch für das bestehende Schulgebäude.

A TV documentary on the school construction

The history of the school construction in Simmering – s Smarter Togethre project – was recorded by „W24“ in a TV documetary and is being broadcasted several times.

The „Wiener Infrastruktur Projekt GmbH“ (WIP), a subsidiary of the Vienna holding company „Wiener Standortentwicklung“ (WSE) has built 17 new classes and four underground zero-energy gymnasiums at the Enkplatz in Simmering with a funding by Smarter Together / EU for the smart solutions.

Smarter Together appears numerous times in the documentary.  The information on the new film was shared by the GBV’s Austria-wide newsletter. The GBV is the association of non-profit developers in Austria, an umbrella organisation of 186 developers with almost 900,000 apartments under its administration. They are the pillar of social, affordable housing in Austria.

The title of the report takes on exactly the title of a blog post on the Smarter Together homepage (NMS Enkplatz: Lust auf Schule) and the film includes numerous sequences from our time-lapse film, which Andreas Tschismasia (MA 25, Technische Stadtenreuerung) has made over the years.

The WIP has realized a climate protection and Smart City showcase project at the Enkplatz in Vienna-Simmering. Numerous technical tools have been incorporated into the extension of the two new secondary schools. Climate protection and sustainability are the main focus. The approximately 1,000 pupils of the two new secondary schools have now access to four gyms, 17 classrooms, open break and work areas, a new textile workshop, a new school library and a new teaching kitchen. The school extension was connected to the listed building in the form of a crossbeam. The new staircases with elevator provide barrier-free access not only for the new building but also for the existing school building.
