Was ist der VCÖ?

Der VCÖ wurde im Jahr 1988 gegründet. Er ist jene Organisation in Österreich, die sich umfassend für ökologisch verträgliche, sozial gerechte und ökonomisch effiziente Mobilität einsetzt. Der VCÖ nennt die Verkehrsprobleme beim Namen und zeigt Lösungen auf. Das Ziel des VCÖ ist ein Verkehrssystem, das allen Menschen unabhängig von Alter, Geschlecht oder sozialer Stellung faire Mobilitätschancen ermöglicht und die Belastungen für Mensch und Umwelt durch den Verkehr verringert.

Was ist der VCÖ Mobilitätspreis?

Alljährlich werden vom VCÖ außerordentliche Beiträge zur nachhaltigen Mobilität in verschiedenen Kategorien ausgezeichnet. 2017 wurden mehr als 370 Projekte und Konzepte beim VCÖ-Mobilitätspreis eingereicht, der heuer unter dem Motto „klimaverträglich mobil“ steht.

Nach der Bewertung durch eine insgesamt 41-köpfige Fachjury sind nun 58 Projekte in elf Kategorien für das Online-Publikumsvoting nominiert. Sie können in jeder Kategorie jene drei Projekte auswählen, die aus Ihrer Sicht einen besonders herausragenden Beitrag für ein klimaverträgliches Verkehrssystem leisten. Sie können auch nur in einzelnen Kategorien abstimmen.

Mit dem Online-Voting entscheidet das Publikum, wie viele Zusatzpunkte die einzelnen Projekte erhalten. Das Projekt mit den meisten Publikumsstimmen erhält fünf Zusatzpunkte, das Projekt mit den zweitmeisten Stimmen drei Zusatzpunkte und das Projekt mit den drittmeisten Publikumsstimmen einen Zusatzpunkt. Bis 31. Juli läuft das Online-Publikumsvoting. Die Zusatzpunkte werden zur Bewertung der Fachjury addiert, die Summe ergibt das Gesamtergebnis.

What is the VCÖ?

The VCÖ – the Austrian Mobility Club – was founded in 1988. It is the organization in Austria that is fully committed to ecologically sound, socially just and economically efficient mobility. The VCÖ mentions traffic problems by name and shows solutions. The goal of the VCÖ is a transport system that allows all people, regardless of age, gender or social position, to offer fair mobility opportunities and reduce the burden on people and the environment through traffic.

What is the VCÖ Mobility Award?

The VCÖ Awards every year outstanding achievements in sustainable mobility in Austria.
In 2017, more than 370 projects and concepts were submitted to the VCÖ mobility prize, which is under the slogan „Mobile in a Climate Friendly way“.

After the evaluation by a total of 41 experts, 58 projects are now nominated in eleven categories for the online audience voting. In each category, you can select those three projects which, in your opinion, make a particularly outstanding contribution to a climate-tolerant transport system. Sie können auch nur in einzelnen Kategorien abstimmen. You can also vote only in individual categories.

With the online voting, the audience decides how many additional points the individual projects receive. The project with the majority of audience votes receives five additional points, the project with the second most votes three additional points and the project with the third most popular audience votes an additional point. Until 31 July the online public voting is running. The additional points are added to the valuation of the expert jury, the sum gives the total result..
